Nicole C. Copeland

Nicole C. Copeland is a seasoned attorney specializing in resolution of complex real estate issues, and with specific knowledge and experience in underwriting and resolution of title insurance claims. A Cum Laude graduate of the Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University, and a member of the Michigan State Bar since 1998, Ms. Copeland has more than 20 years of experience as Counsel and Chief Title Officer for a statewide title insurance company, and has assisted national underwriters, large corporations, property owners and developers, real estate agents, brokers, outside counsel and investors work through complex issues and sometimes difficult circumstances. Ms. Copeland understands the real estate industry inside and out and has held a real estate broker license since 2015 to better help clients assess risk and to resolve disputes. Although Ms. Copeland focuses her practice on real estate law and title insurance issues, she maintains a broad general practice. Ms. Copeland has represented clients in all phases of litigation in the areas of real property law, estate planning and elder law, contract disputes, and business tort and liability.

Ms. Copeland is a member of the Michigan State Bar, Real Property Law Section, Ingham County Bar Association, and is also licensed to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.
